No, you do not need a credit card to sign-up. You can sign up for Free with your email and password or with a Google / Microsoft account. All new accounts enjoy the benefits of the Free-Forever plan.

With the Free-Forever Plan, you can create and launch research studies and recruit participants from LinkedIn using the OpenQ Recruiter browser extension. You are given 20 Free invites to recruit research participants. These free invites never expire, so you may use them at any time after signing up.
How is volume measured? expand_more
For pricing or billing purposes, volume is measured by the number of completed sessions in a given billing period as well as features used to recruit
participants (e.g., with or without screeners). See the Pricing Table above for more details. You are never charged for cancelled or no-show sessions.
What is a session? expand_more
A session is a scheduled (moderated) user research session between a Researcher (you or your team mates) and a Participant that you recruited using the OpenQ app. These may be either user interviews or any other type of moderated research that you want to conduct.
Do unused credits rollover? expand_more
Monthly Plans provide a monthly quota. Hence unused credits expire at the end of each month for Monthly Plans. Annual plans provide an annual quota. Hence, you can avoid the risk of unused credits expiring every month by getting on an Annual Plan or opting for the Pay-as-you-Go plan.
What are the benefits on an Annual Plan? expand_more
Subscribing to an Annual Plan has two main benefits. One — annual plans cost 15% less than monthly plans. Two — annual plans give you the flexibility of distributing your research volume in any way across the whole year, without the risk of incurring overage month-over-month.

Pay-as-you-Go plan is billed monthly and you are charged for the credits used within the billing period. For example, if you started your subscription on Jan 10, your billing period is from Jan 10 - Feb 10, and you are be charged for the credits used for this period on Feb 10.

Monthly subscription plans are billed monthly. At the start of every billing period, your subscription is charged the subscription amount for the current month and the overage amount, if any, for the previous month.

Yearly Subscription plans are billed yearly. At the start of every billing period, your subscription is charged the subscription amount for the current year and overage amount, if any, for the previous year.
What happens if I use more credits than my allotted plan? expand_more
All OpenQ subscription plans generous volume quotas, so it is unlikely that you will incur an overage. In the unlikely event that you do, you will be charged for the overage volume (i.e. number of credits you went over by) when your bill is generated for the next billing period.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription? expand_more
